A space for you.

Therapy offers different things to different people. For some, it's a safe space where they can share what's on their mind and truly feel understood. Others come with certain experiences or challenges they’d like to explore, or want to better understand themselves and their relationships. Sometimes, people feel like life is just 'too much' and feel overwhelmed, stressed or stuck, without knowing exactly what they need. Whatever brings you to therapy, we can take the time to understand it together and explore what feels helpful.

About me

I’m Sarah, a warm and compassionate therapist who offers a non-judgemental space where you can begin to make sense of whatever is happening in your life. I listen with care and curiosity, taking time to truly understand what has brought you to therapy. With a gentle and honest approach, I support you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

With over 20 years experience of teaching and leading in schools, and a SEN specialism, I'm a strong advocate for neurodivergent pupils and their families. I'm neurodivergent myself and find that my lived experience of ADHD helps me to provide a safe, inclusive space where people feel understood and free to be themselves.

My therapy approach

I'm astounded by the wisdom of the natural world and the inspiration we can take from it. Just as nature can soothe the nervous system and invite reflection, therapy creates space to slow down and reconnect with yourself.

Safe, trusting relationship

The relationship you have with yourself, and others, can have a big impact on your wellbeing. The relationship in the therapy room is no different and can provide the safety, trust and understanding needed for difficult experiences to be explored. Connecting with this level of unwavering care and support can be incredibly healing, often unlocking new insight and personal growth.

Integrative therapy

Part of how I work, explores how our past can shape our experiences and relationships in the present. For example, if our role early on was to please people and ignore our own needs, we can unconsciously end up falling into this role again and it might not be what we need this time. Building an awareness of these patterns, can deepen our understanding of ourselves and others, and open up future choices.

Tailored to your needs

I have deep respect for the wisdom that a client holds about their own life and what they need from therapy. No single approach will suit everyone, so I tailor our work to match your individual needs. We are partners in your therapy journey, guided by your autonomy and feedback about what feels important.

Creative approach

I offer creative therapy approaches, including sand therapy, which provides a different way to express yourself or experiences, particularly when it's hard to find the words for these. It can bring unconscious thoughts and feelings into awareness, opening up new opportunities for insight and healing. However, clients decide if this approach is helpful for them.
